VFF executive director Pete Hegseth is currently deployed to Afghanistan, where he is an instructor at the Counterinsurgency Training Center in Kabul. While he's in Afghanistan, VFF founder and combat Marine Wade Zirkle will serve as VFF's interim executive director. Read more HERE, HERE and HERE.

Joe Dan "Doc" Worley

On September 17, 2004, infantry medic "Doc" Worley acheived something not only heroic, but superhuman. Joe is a Vets for Freedom Member. After his leg was blown off by an IED, and he was shot five times, he still managed to treat his own wounds and shout lifesaving instructions to his Marines.
