
Eric Navarro was born in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from The New School University and was a resident of Manhattan, New York when the events of September 11th occurred. He set to join the Marines the very next day. Navarro would go on to serve two tours in Iraq as an officer in the USMC. His first tour was as a member of an Advisor Support Team imbedded with a battalion of the New Iraqi Army. The team’s experiences are detailed in Navarro’s book, titled GOD WILLING: MY WILD RIDE WITH THE NEW IRAQI ARMY.
During his second tour, just recently completed, Navarro was a Captain in the Marine Corps Reserves. Called up as part of is the President’s “surge” strategy, he acted as Engineer Platoon Commander attached to an Infantry Battalion operating in and around the area of Haditha, Iraq.
Navarro lives with his wife, Dorothy, in New York City and is currently attending NYU’s Stern School of Business.
