(Washington, D.C.) - Flagg Youngblood, director of Vets for Freedom Political Action Committee, addresses the endorsement of Ron Klein by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

"As a leader in one of our country's veterans groups, I believe Allen West better understands national security and veterans issues," says Youngblood.  "West's led soldiers into combat; he knows firsthand what's required to keep America safe and what our veterans deserve back home."

"Ron Klein, on the other hand, has never worn the uniform, and his military voting record is unabashedly partisan-national security and veterans be damned.  Did you know the average member of Speaker Pelosi's caucus voted with her 92%, while Klein did so nearly 98%?"

"Lieutenant Colonel West," continues Youngblood, "courageously put his Army career on the line to protect his soldiers while serving in Iraq.  West's selfless devotion to serving others couldn't be clearer; he'll put constituent concerns first."

"To see the Veterans of Foreign Wars ignore one of their own in favor of a partisan politician suggests a greater concern for protecting entrenched Beltway interests than America's national security and veterans.  Shame on them!"

"Allen West's the choice for every voter concerned about protecting the United States, veterans, and restoring accountability to Washington," concludes Youngblood.  "West's battle-proven track record makes him the best pick on November 2nd."
