(Washington DC) - This week, every likely Republican voter in Michigan's Seventh Congressional District will receive a letter from Gold Star Father, and Michigan native, John Ellsworth.  The letter, which went to over 40,000 households, urges voters to support Captain Brian Rooney in the upcoming Republican Primary on Tuesday, August 3rd.  A copy of the letter can found here: http://politi.co/cgzRqa

The letter was preceded by an automated phone call last Friday to all 40,000 households, alerting them to the forthcoming letter.  In addition, the phone call and letter will be followed by radio ads from Vets for Freedom through the weekend and into election day.  The audio of John's automated phone call can be found here: http://politi.co/cD6MYn

"This is an effort to bring honor, integrity, and courage back to Congress--and Captain Brian Rooney is just the man to do it," says John Ellsworth.  "We believe this message will resonate with Michigan voters who are looking for something other than 'politics as usual'".

Pete Hegseth, Vets for Freedom Executive Director and Iraq War veteran added, "Brian is an outstanding representative of our warrior generation, and is exactly the type of Congressman we need in Washington."

Vets for Freedom (www.vetsforfreedom.org) is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(4) organization of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans whose mission is to advocate for success on the battlefield by educating and influencing the American public, policymakers, and the media on issues of strategy, tactics, and military leadership.
