 Vets for Freedom PAC is excited to announce its
support of Tom Rooney for United States Congress in the 16th
District of Florida. Tom Rooney proudly served his country in the
U.S. Army as a JAG Officer, and continues to wear the uniform. Vets
for Freedom applauds his commitment to continue his public service
in the United States Congress.
"As a fellow veteran who has proudly served my country in the
United States Army, I am humbled to speak on behalf of Vets for
Freedom in offering our strong endorsement of Tom Rooney for United

we are currently undertaking in Iraq is essential to our success in
the global fight against Islamic extremism. He recognizes and
acknowledges the success of our current military strategy
implemented by General Petraeus, and has been a steadfast source of
support of all the men and women who are winning the Global War on
Terror. Our country needs more dedicated people like Tom in
Washington."
As the brave men and women who wear our nation's uniform continue
to serve in harm's way, it is important that we have elected
officials who understand and appreciate the sacrifices they make
and why they make them. The current Representative of Florida's
16th District not only voted on multiple occasions to set a
timetable for retreat from Iraq, but after visiting Iraq continued
to deny the progress that the new strategy has made possible.
Hegseth continues, "Clearly he does not recognize the threats that
our country faces in the 21st Century. Tom Rooney is the answer to
this inherent weakness in Congress, and I am proud to offer the
