Welcome to the Colorado Vets for Freedom page

VFF seeks to have a visible advocacy presence on Capitol Hill, and rely heavily on our grassroots "boots on the ground"  to lobby the Congress on issues vital to troops and veterans.  We are pro-mission, and need supporters to rival the powerful anti-war groups funded by the likes of Moveon.org and George Soros. We need to make it clear that Americans will not stand for trading national security in order to score petty political points.

It is clear that the results of a hasty or premature departure from Iraq would be catastrophic not only to the Iraqi people, but the whole Middle East and certainly the United States. Rest assured that  "withdrawal", "Redeployment",  "drawdown" or "a new strategy" are simply sugar-coating one thing-RETREAT-and the result is American forces defeated by Al-Qaeda on the field of battle.

Colorado VFF

I encourage all of you write a letter or email to our U.S. Senators and House members telling them the importance of success in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Our national security is too important to have politicians play political football with.  I have listed their names below along with the the websites to the Senate and House.

Colorado Senators and House Members

Sen. Ken Salazar (D), Sen. Wayne Allard (R),
Rep. Diana DeGette (D-1st), Rep. Mark Udall (D-2nd),
Rep. John Salazar (D-3rd), Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-4th),
Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-5th), Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-6th),
Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-7th)

“War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” —John Stuart Mill
